Prices are £22 for the parent and child under 10 or £22 for each alpaca walked.
Booking is essential, as availability is limited.
Children 10 - 16 must be in the company of a responsible adult.
Children 6 - 10 may walk the alpaca, but must be closely supervised by a dedicated adult.
The normal walk is too long and undulating for children under 6, though we do private “Little Walks for Little People”
Walks normally begin at 10.30 am however for private walks other times may be arranged.
It is normally expected that each person over 10 will walk their own alpaca, to keep the experience small and personal, however exceptions will be made in the case of disability.
Dogs are not allowed however for those with Blind / Medical assistance dogs please contact us to discuss. Those traveling with dogs may leave them in our Kennel during the walk.
Alpaca are sensitive animals and can be spooked by loud noise or fast erratic movement please be respectful to the animals.
The walk is on undulating farm land, please wear suitable footwear and clothing.
Come and walk one of our wonderful Alapca in the Upper North Tyne Valley situated in the Northumberland National park. The beautiful countryside is within sight of the Kielder Dam just outside the village of Falstone, close to Bellingham. Picnics are available after all walks if booked in advance.
A walk will start with an introduction to the Herd, after a short chat about the animals, the animals will be walked on a lead for approximately an hour. The walk will take place at a relaxing therapeutic “Alpaca Pace”.
Walks are carried out in small groups of no more than 6 animals.

Little Walks for Little People
This will be an easier walk in enclosed field following an introduction to the herd. Little ones can hold onto a leash while a parent or carer holds another, on the same alpaca.
If there is another parent, then they will need to walk their own alpaca.
It will be £22 for the parent and child and £22 for each other alpaca walked.
For example: if there are 2 children under 10 then they should be accompanied by an adult EACH.
